In addition to the onlining profiling it is also recommended that drivers are practically assessed by one of our trainers. This will entail the driver having time away from work in order for this to be carried out. The trainer can assess more than one driver at a time to be more effective.

How it works:

Stage 1 Driver Risk assessment

For fleet driver training only, a practical driver risk assessment is optional however recommended. For all other Driver training both an online and a practical session is required.

  • The driver may be taken out on a 1 to 1 or 2 to 1 basis
  • The driver will spend 1 hour at the wheel
  • The driver will be observed
  • The driver will be graded on different elements of the drive
  • At the end of which a full report will be given.

Stage 2 Driver Training

For drivers who are classed as medium to High risk we will discuss with you the findings and We will tailor and deliver the most suitable coaching session to suit the driver’s needs. The courses are adapted for either the independant driver or several drivers from within a large company. All our courses for this element include both theory presentations and in car practical coaching sessions carried out of the period of the course. All areas of the driver’s weak areas will be addressed. Driver improvement will take place and new techniques and information will be taught. .

Further coaching

Some Drivers do struggle with implementing new driver techniques and for those we are always happy to offer additional coaching sessions working with the driver to enhance their skills - Some of the drivers that we have coached have gone on to take the DIAmond advance drivers certification

All drivers and driving activities done for work purposes should be risk assessed.

This should not be looked at as a short-term fix. Only continued and updated policies will ensure organisations achieve the health and safety improvements that will minimise the risk of your company being prosecuted.
